EXHIBITION FROM SEPTEMBER 24 TO DECEMBER 2022

Silicon(n)e combines three interconnected yet distinct collections by Laflamme. They explore common themes such as her anxiety as a consumer, feminist parody, the ephemeral and the mundane. Through her self-portraits, abstraction and minimalist sculpture, Laflamme invites the audience to share her visceral vulnerability.

Laflamme draws inspiration from everyday moments to create compositions featuring otherwise disposable and worthless objects. She explores the juxtaposition between the rich and grandiose tradition of painting on canvas and the mundane of the 21st century. Her work reflects an internal conflict of simultaneous complacency and resentment towards the social pressures of femininity.EXHIBITION OPENING SEPTEMBER 24, 2022
