To end the evening on a high note, the Cinema Under the Stars offers another open-air screening of the film "Fanny" by Yan England, presented by Cinémental, starting at 21:30 pm. Révolution: The young band Révolution takes alternative rock and brings a frenetic energy that has already earned them the Audience Choice Award and an honorable mention at the 2026 Chicane Électrique festival. Retrospective: Colette Balcaen 20 Years of Art and Stories. The Retrospective: Colette Balcaen exhibition traces the work of the Winnipeg visual artist from her beginnings in 2005 to the present day. Twenty years of art are exceptionally brought together and celebrated in the gallery of the Centre culturel franco-manitobain from April 30 to July 29, 2026. In her works, Colette Balcaen uses textiles. Fibres and threads are the basis of installations, performances, and powerful conceptual videos that highlight an individual's energy and their role in the community. By sewing, crocheting, and knitting for over 20 years, Colette Balcaen unravels the thread of a story and recounts the reality of lived experiences, inspired by the women who have influenced her, to express her feelings about past, present, and future situations.
