The up-and-coming Acadian artist Pierre Guitard launched his first album, Tuer la bête jusqu’à Dimanche, in the fall of 2018. Along with his bandmates Jesse MacCormack (Emilie & Ogden, Melanie Boulay, Rosie Vallant) and Guillaume Chartrain (Daran, Chocolat, BV300, Shane Murphy), the singer-songwriter’s music is openly influenced by dreampop and shoegaze, producing a unique blend of eerie guitars and numerous sound effects.

Particularly inspired by loss, beginnings and ends, Pierre Guitard offers simple, catchy melodies with lyrics about his fears – like becoming an adult, love, and be loved. Shortly after coming back from a European tour earlier this year, he won a Trille d’Or award (Découverte Acadie) before touring throughout Canada this summer.
