recognition
lands
We would like to point out that the Centre culturel franco-manitobain is located on Treaty 1 territory and that these lands are part of the traditional territory of the Anishinaabe, Ininiwak, Anishininiwak, Dakota and Dene peoples, and the homeland of the Red River Métis Nation. We would also like to point out that Manitoba's Francophone population lives in the territories covered by Treaties 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5. We respect the treaties signed on these territories. We are committed to moving forward with Aboriginal communities in a spirit of reconciliation and collaboration to make Manitoba an inclusive and accessible place for all who live here.
Who are we?
Welcome to the world of culture, creativity and discovery! The Centre culturel franco-manitobain (CCFM) is the essential organization that promotes and supports cultural and artistic activities in French, adapted to all ages and tastes, and accessible to all Manitobans.
Since its creation in 1974, the CCFM has established itself as a major player in the promotion of all forms of French-language cultural and artistic expression. Recognized as the beating heart of Francophone cultural life in Manitoba, the CCFM distinguishes itself by offering a rich program of performing and visual arts, as well as a variety of community and educational projects open to all Manitoba residents, as well as visitors from afar. Rooted in the heart of St. Boniface, Winnipeg's francophone neighbourhood, the CCFM brings the cultural vitality of the Franco-Manitoban community to life year-round.
