LEARN FRENCH-CANADIAN FOLK AND TRADITIONAL DANCES! Step dancing and square dancing are a key element of French-Canadian traditions and culture. In these classes, students learn the basics of French-Canadian dance, including step dancing and traditional figures and formations. Students develop balance, posture, coordination, musicality, rhythm, as well as discipline and self-confidence. Classes are offered from beginner to advanced levels.

Class of 45 minutes : 350 $
Class of 60 minutes : 440 $
Class of 75 minutes and 90 minutes : 500 $

For For adult jig and folk-dance classes there is a drop-in option.

Jig 1↓

Introduction to basic jig steps and French-Canadian folk dances. Jig and square dancing are a key element of French-Canadian traditions and culture. In this class, students learn the fundamentals of French-Canadian dance, including jigging and traditional figures and formations. Students develop balance, posture, coordination, musicality, rhythm, as well as self-discipline and confidence.

Thursday from 18:00 p.m. to 19:00 p.m. in room 142

Maximum number of students : 8
Required attire : Tap shoes. Exercise clothing (loose or flexible) so as not to restrict movement. Hair tied back.
Condition : Minimum 7 years old (the teacher must confirm if a younger child can participate in the course)

Condition : For students who have taken step 2, or children aged 9 and over who already have some experience in step or tap dancing.
Price : 60-minute class: $440

Adult jig and folk dance ↓

This class is for teenagers and adults who want to learn jigging and French-Canadian folk dancing!

It is possible to register for 10 or 5 classes (see price list), for those who want to try jigging but do not want to do a whole year.

This course is aimed at teenagers who wish to improve and deepen their knowledge jig and French-Canadian folk dancing!

Thursday from 19:45 p.m. to 21:15 p.m., in the Dance Studio

Required attire : Tap shoes. Exercise clothing (loose or flexible) so as not to restrict movement. Hair tied back.
Condition : By audition or invitation (the teacher must confirm the student's participation in the course)

Intensive Jig Technique ↓

This class builds on the intensive step dancing classes. Students further develop balance, posture, flexibility, focus, and strength. They also develop precision, agility, and fluidity of movement.
