Mwana and the secret of the turtle

Through her journey, the students discover that intelligence, creativity, and observation can be forces as powerful as physical strength. Inspired by a popular African folktale,
Mwana and the secret of the turtle current is a
dramatized story which addresses, in a sensitive and accessible way, essential themes in the school curriculum: self-confidence, perseverance, cooperation, critical thinking, and challenging stereotypes. The show, blending
shadow theatre, puppets and objects, offers students a
immersive experience in Frenchfavoring:
- the development of oral comprehension
- vocabulary enrichment
- active listening and interpretation
- the expression of emotions and ideas
It constitutes a
a concrete and stimulating complement to the work of teachersby offering a different way of approaching the French language, through imagination, storytelling, and the performing arts. Echoing La Fontaine's maxim
"We often need someone smaller than ourselves."Students are invited to reflect on:
- the value of each individual within a group
- the importance of how we look at others
- overcoming prejudices and appearances
