Offer your students learning through emotion and creativity! In a village threatened by a giant who steals the food supplies, a young girl named Mwana offers a solution where the adults have failed... Through her journey, the students discover that intelligence, creativity, and observation can be forces as powerful as physical strength. Inspired by a popular African folktale, Mwana and the secret of the turtle current is a dramatized story which addresses, in a sensitive and accessible way, essential themes in the school curriculum: self-confidence, perseverance, cooperation, critical thinking, and challenging stereotypes. The show, blending shadow theatre, puppets and objects, offers students a immersive experience in Frenchfavoring:
  • the development of oral comprehension
  • vocabulary enrichment
  • active listening and interpretation
  • the expression of emotions and ideas
It constitutes a a concrete and stimulating complement to the work of teachersby offering a different way of approaching the French language, through imagination, storytelling, and the performing arts.
