Alexis Normand, aka “Aleksiss,” offers a show-projection that explores her identity doubts and linguistic insecurities through a musical performance followed by the screening of her short film “Assez French,” produced by the NFB. This immersive presentation concludes with an enriching discussion with students, fostering exchanges on the diversity of Francophone identities. A multidisciplinary artist and winner of several awards, Alexis embodies an inspiring role model for young people, inviting them to reflect on their own Francophone identity and to express themselves fully.

Originally from Canada, Alexis Normand is a renowned multidisciplinary artist, hailed French-speaking artist of the year at the Western Canadian Music Awards and a candidate for other prestigious awards. After a period with the trio Rosie & the Riveters, she broadened her artistic horizons to documentary filmmaking, exploring new avenues of authentic and vulnerable expression.
