104ᵉ EXPOSITION - CONCOURS ANNUEL - WINNIPEG SKETCH CLUB

The opening of the exhibition will take place on Thursday, March 16, 2023 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in the CCFM Art Gallery (340 Provencher Boulevard).

The Winnipeg Sketch Club (WSC) was founded in 1914 by Alexander J. Musgrove, principal of the Winnipeg School of Art and Director of the Winnipeg Art Gallery, and has the distinction of being the oldest club of its kind in Western Canada.

Past distinguished members have included: Leo Mol, Frank Johnston, Lionel LeMoine FitzGerald, Charles Comfort, and Lynn Sissons.

Although the intent has traditionally been to provide amateur artists with the opportunity to sketch from live models, the Club’s Annual Exhibitions, held every year since 1916, have featured diverse subjects such as nudes, landscapes, abstract compositions, and more.

We are pleased to welcome you to our show — the 104th Annual Juried Exhibition.
